Why does my session expire?

Login sessions expire for two reasons:

  1. For your security, your Youthhood session expires if you have not been clicking around the site for 105 minutes. This way we can help to ensure that if you happen to forget to logoff (by all means, don't forget!), someone else can't come onto your computer and see what you wrote in your Private Journal, Class Notebook, Activities Folder, or Life Map!
  2. If you do not accept the cookies set on login or your computer is not configured to accept cookies, your session will expire almost immediately. We use cookies (small pieces of site information) to help us remember who you are. Cookies are required for My Youthhood.

If you see this message immediately after logging in, you should check the following:

  • Check what date/time your computer thinks it is. Cookies are time sensitive and may not work if your computer date is incorrect by a large amount.
  • Make sure that your browser is configured to accept cookies. See Preferred Browsers & Settings for more information on accepting cookies.
  • Turn off any third party programs or control panels that automatically reject cookies.
