Feeling Uncomfortable

You don’t ever have to answer any question that makes you feel uncomfortable. But if someone asks you, for example, “What is Spina Bifida?” and you have learned about your disability, you could say:

“Spina Bifida occurred before I was born. It is a condition (not a defect) that causes limited use of my legs. Many people with Spina Bifida, such as myself, also have a condition called hydrocephalus which can affect my learning style, ability to concentrate, and length of time it may take me to comprehend detailed information, but with proper accommodations for my learning style I have proven that I can be very successful!”
